Writer, director, actor - Barber B: A Play of Sorts (2022/2023)





Sell-out success for celebratory project, Barber B (APOS).

The first iteration were scratch performances in R&D for a larger more comprehensive production.

A Play of Sorts is inspired by the extraordinary life of Chapeltown barber, Brian Swarray aka Barber B, whose haircuts are not just iconic, but raise the profession to an artform.

My bid secured funding from The World Reimagined and received a unanimous decision of support from Leeds City Council.

Every performance has sold out. That's 700 tickets! I've coordinated all the marketing and social media thus far.
